Welcome back!

2 Jan

The start of the New Year has been known for resolutions- fresh starts and new beginnings! I always like to make my resolution something that adds to my life. For example, I’m making a resolution to snowshoe more, ski at least once every month until the end of the season, and to hike the Lions this summer. I”ve also made a resolution to learn how to blog and to make access to class information more convenient for you and your parents. You will see all the classes listed at the top of the page. Here I will be posting information about assignments, homework, upcoming tests or field trips, and links to web resources I want your to explore throughout each new unit.

Often I will ask you to participate in on-line discussions by posting a comment to a question or an idea that I will have posted. This will be considered part of your class participation. Here I will also post ideas for Random Acts of Kindness. I  encourage all students to perform at least one random act of kindness during the week and to post what you did. A random act of kindness could be as easy as picking up a piece of garbage on the playground, helping your parents make dinner, or volunteering somewhere in the community.

I’m looking forward to sharing this blog with you and I can’t wait to see you begin to add all of your amazing and creative thoughts and ideas!

For your first comment, share what your New Years resolution is! If you haven’t made one yet, now is the time! Remember, you are awesome!

My New Year’s Resolution is that I would like to not eat meat and not drink anymore milk.
Because on the news they have said that milk is bad for you because of the chemicals that they mix into the milk. And why I don’t like meat is because I love animals a lot and meat gives cancer to the human body.
