9 May

It was a hot May afternoon on the campaign trail for the North Vancouver-Lonsdale riding. Armed with thoughtful and well posed questions, the students gave the local candidates a chance to explain their party’s platform, face to face. Green Party candidate Ryan Conroy, NDP candidate Craig Keating, and the current Liberal MLA for the riding, Naomi Yamamoto, all took the time to meet and answer the students concerns. Now that the election date is less than a week away, what advice would you give voters before they consider casting their vote? You don’t need to give advice on who to vote for, but offer advice on what they should consider to be important while they make their decision.

My advice for voters to think about before they vote is to try to brush past all the media and bias and simply vote for whoever they believe has a young spirit and cares about the economy.

Vote for who you think will address and fix the issues you care about. If you think they’re doing something wrong, don’t vote for them.

Vote for whoever will benefit you the most and whoever shares the most of your values. If you worked for BC Hydro, you’d probably be voting for NDP or Conservatives.

Consider the party overall and the leader of the party, but chose the candidate thats running in your area that you like the best or the one you think will represent your area the best.
