Congratulations! 80% of you handed in your assignment late! Therefore you have two bonus assignments that need to be completed by Tuesday May 20th!! They will be for marks and you will recieve a zero if they are not handed in. But I have faith that you will be able to complete it! After all, you are Grade 10s,incredibly bright, and are perfecting your skills on time management.

The assignment below (The CPR and Macdonald’s National Policy) are due on Thursday May 15th.

1. Find a current event news story that is directly related to the CPR. Write a review and a response to the article. Find a way to compare or contrast it with transportation concerns at in the late 1800’s. Include a link to the article.  (10 marks)

2. Find out who our Transportation Minister is and explain what his/her job entails. How significant is this position to Canada and why? (5 marks)

**What factors led to the rebellions? What were the outcomes?

** What were the key events of the Red River Rebellion? Northwest Rebellion? 

**How was Riel influential in the development of Manitoba?

**What was the impact of interactions between Aboriginal peoples and European settlers? 

Remember to keep a set of notes that will help you to determine whether or not Louis Riel was a Hero or a Traitor.
